The recent suicide of a 14-year old girl in South Hadley, Massachusetts, has once again brought the issue of bullying to the forefront. Like Carl Walker Hoover and Ryan Halligan, we are saddened and outraged that another young life has been cut short due to relentless bullying, cyberbullying and harassment. Although there are no quick fixes to this problem, MAAV supports the systemic, sustained whole-school approach, as well as the anti-bullying bill being debated in the Massachusetts legislature.
