In the midst of a pandemic, the community turned out in force for MAAV! Thank you to everyone who participated in our socially-distanced 25th Annual Walk Against Violence over the weekend of October 24-25. We were delighted to see so many people walking the traditional route around Ell Pond individually, with friends, family and small groups over the weekend.
This year’s walk theme was “Lighting the Way Together,” a message that reflects MAAV’s 25 years in the community and one that resonates even more as the community comes together to deal with the pandemic. This year’s Walk featured a “treasure hunt,” as walkers searched for 25 hidden items along the Walk route.
The event raised a record $60,224, funds which will support MAAV’s critical prevention and intervention programs in the schools and the community. Thank you to everyone who donated!
