Do you still remember a word of kindness that filled you with confidence? Have you been stung by derogatory or careless language? Hurtful words may not leave visible marks and bruises, but the scars left behind can be deep and long-lasting. Likewise, positive words can heal and lead to trusting, healthy relationships.

Entries will be judged on how they express the idea that #WordsHavePower in relationships.

We are looking for designs that are simple and memorable.

All students in grades K – 12 in Melrose and adult community members are welcome to enter the contest.

Winning posters will be displayed in the schools and throughout the community.

Entries must be received by May 25, 2018.

Posters should be designed on an 8.5 x 11 sheet of paper.

Please include your name, grade (if applicable) and contact info on the back of your poster.

Paper submissions will be accepted in the main office of all of the public schools in Melrose, and in a
labeled envelope located in the lobby of the Beebe Estate.
