Dan Ehlers joined MAAV’s Board of Directors in 2012. He has been a police officer in Melrose for 20 years and currently holds the position of Detective/Domestic Violence Officer. Dan retired from the United States Air Force Security Forces after 20 years of service and served in the Gulf and Iraqi Wars.
In addition to serving on the Board, Dan has worked on MAAV’s Safe Steps Task Force and the Annual Walk Committee. In his role as Domestic Violence Office in the City of Melrose, Dan works with MAAV to provide assistance to victims of domestic abuse. Dan says, “Domestic violence remains an issue in Melrose, but MAAV is such a valuable resource for serving victims and helping to break the cycle of domestic violence.”
Dan has been married for more than 25 years to his wife Toni and has five children.
