Karen Willis joined MAAV’s Board of Directors in 2010. She has more than 20 years of experience in health care, and is a physical therapist with a master’s degree in Public Health.
Karen was drawn to MAAV because she is a survivor of domestic violence and is committed to helping other women, men, children and families in need. In addition to serving on the Board, Karen has been a member of the Walk Committee for several years and served as a mentor in our mentoring program. She also was instrumental in starting our support group for survivors of domestic violence and remains involved in that group.
She says, “As a survivor of Intimate Partner Violence, it was my goal to start a local weekly support group for victims and survivors. I am proud to say we now have had one since 2012.”
Karen lives in Melrose with her family.
