Our Board of Directors

Jen Winslow
President
Jen Winslow joined MAAV’s Board of Directors in 2019 and was appointed President in 2025. She has 15 years of experience working in web development and digital marketing, and currently runs her own business based in Melrose.

Jen’s first experience with MAAV was volunteering as a mentor in our Community Mentoring Program. She found it to be an amazing experience connecting with the next generation of Melrosians and seeing the world through their eyes. She believes it has inspired her continued commitment to our mission, “Being a part of an organization like MAAV is an honor. I am so grateful to be on this journey alongside the incredibly talented staff, the creative and industrious Student Action Board, my fellow board members, and all of the generous members of the community who support MAAV in innumerable and beautiful ways.”

Jen lives in Melrose with her family.

Jennifer Franco
Vice President
Jennifer Franco joined MAAV’s Board of Directors in 2022 and appointed Vice President in 2025. She has more than 25 years of experience serving as legal counsel to various public safety and criminal justice agencies where her work has focused primarily on domestic and sexual violence, child abuse and victim advocacy. She has provided pro bono legal advice to domestic violence victims and survivors.

Imogen Thomas

It has been an eye opening experience seeing the importance of gut intuition and the strengthening of analytical skills as it relates to safety in the current climate both digitally and physically.
Imogen joined MAAV because she sits in a unique limbo between the students in Melrose schools and the parents in the Melrose community which provides her with a unique and blended point of view that she hopes will be of value to the Board. She also believes MAAV’s mission is creating a more aware and engaged community in Melrose and is proud to be a part of cultivating it.

The time she has spent volunteering with that agency has been a complete joy and she is looking forward to continuing for many years to come.

When Jennie’s 3 children were younger she served on the fundraising and event planning committees for her children’s schools for many years, culminating in very successful galas, auctions, and year-end events. Now that her children are older she finds she has more time to offer to support women and children and people in need. “It’s such an honor to join the Board of MAAV. I hope to bring my skill set, my time, and my passion to support such a worthy and necessary agency like MAAV.”
