Education and Prevention with Youth

Leadership, mentoring, anti-bullying and teen dating abuse prevention programs.

We're so proud of all of the Melrose High School students who shared our message that #WordsHavePower during Spirit Week! Each class at MHS tweeted out a phrase related to both their assigned class theme and the idea that #WordsHavePower, and the class that got the most likes and retweets earned points toward spirit week.

In all, the posts got more than 240 retweets and likes, and the Seniors, MHS Class of 2019, won! A big thank you to Student Action Board member and MHS Senior Maddie Strike who announced the results at the Spirit Week Pep Rally!

We’re looking for male mentors to join a group that will begin meeting next month! Here’s what one of our mentors, Michael Milligan, had to say about his time in our program:

“The mentoring program allowed me to connect in a way I never thought possible. Instead of providing guidance and direction, I was able to provide an ear, someone my mentee could be open with and feel confident they were not being judged. I learned the kids need a safe place to share without the fear of being told they are wrong...in the end they often make the right decisions on their own!”
